Classes

The Math Zoom year-round Problem Solving Courses are designed to help students of all skill levels improve their mathematical problem-solving abilities. The Math Zoom programs offer an opportunity for bright and mathematically gifted students to expand their mathematical horizons, improve problem solving skills, and appreciate mathematics in a deeper more fascinating level. The Math Zoom curriculum is developed and taught by veterans of  national and international mathematical competitions.

We have classes for those in second to twelfth grades. For younger students, we use story and game based materials to engage the students' interests. Students learn to recognize patterns and discover interesting correlations between numbers. During this process, students learn to apply those correlations in mental math techniques for faster calculation results. Students are exposed to well organized story based problem solving techniques that can relate to age appropriate real life scenarios. For advanced upper grade primary school students, we start to expose them to the topics covered by the major math contests such as AMC8 and MathCounts. Our materials are presented at a level that the students can understand. For middle school students, we start to gear the curriculum towards the AMC8 and MathCounts level.  For advanced middle school students and high school students, the class materials are geared toward major math contests such as AMC 10/12, ARML, and eventually AIME, USA Math Olympiad and beyond.
